I am about to launch my new website in 4 days and I was wondering what are the most effective ways to get users/visitors without spending marketing dollars?

Things I have on my list:

1- SEO (search engine optimization): Title, Meta tags, descriptions
etc.
2- Addthis.com button to share it on other websites
3- “How my website works” on youtube plus keywords there.

What are other ways to quickly get visitors?

Also in terms of selling banner ads on my website, how many visitors do I need to get in order to do this? Even if I get enough how do I have to approach companies to advertise on my website. Lets say I want to put only 1 banner on my website for advertising (exclusive), how do I have to negotiate the price for this? Is it based on the number of users ?

Hi everyone, im thinking about starting a content based, affiliate marketing and ad space selling website business. while doing some research on this topic iv found some things im confused about and was wondering if you could help me out.

I was wondering what the advantages would be of me buying a actual website over simply opening up a word press website.

how important is search engine optimization for driving traffic toward my website/ word press

how much money will i need for start up?

should i make it a business (paperwork and what not) or is that not necessary?

is the auto responder programs all they are cracked up to be?

will i run into any problems because of my age (im 17)

any other advice you think i should know?

Hi, I have recently completed an online store for selling outer-space collectibles for space-enthusiasts. It is called “Space Mugs!” at http://www.cafepress.com/SpaceMugs

I chose a catchy title, put together some interesting products, added tags, keywords, and descriptions for my products for search engine optimization. I also sent a few emails to friends. I also added a script that tracks user behavior on my site.

Is there anything else I can or should do? My budget is extremely limited. Or should I just wait and see what happens?

I am not looking for a Basement Bob – we have a serious online reputation and wish to maintain it. Right now our site is OK at converting but the problem is we are nowhere near page one on Google for our phrases.

I am an amateur website designer/coder/webmaster. I have designed 1 page and have been through some schooling for Web Coding and other coding and computer classes. I started for the woman I work for now and re-designed her page and also more than doubled her sales through self-taught Search Engine Optimization. Someone she knows wants a site done just like hers and I need to know a price to quote her when I talk to her but I was working hourly when I re-designed the one that I already did. What is a good set price to do a site?

I have an idea for a website and I’ve been quoted around $5k plus to have it built even though I don’t think its all that technical I was told that’s about the base price for a website design etc. The website is more than just a homepage though. I would say its as complicated as a social networking site with user accounts similar to say myspace. I think the labor would be cheaper if I got it built in say India or some other country overseas but I’m scared of the risks. (Labor in india is between 15-25 dollars/hour) while here in the U.S it starts at 50 and goes up to about 150/hr. I don’t want someone to steal my idea, I want to be able to manage, and I don’t want to be scammed out my money. The site will also need to have search engine optimization capabilities. What do you think, is it worth the savings, whats your opinion or some other possible solutions. Help please!

I have a website that at least 200 to 300 people visit it every day, but no one call me for my services. I spend $800 in one month in google adword, but no one called me. I spend $500 in yahoo advertising but still no one call me. My website is professional. and in search engine optimization I am on the top of google and yahoo. also in sponsor link I am in the top. but still no customer
what can I do to make some customers with online advertising?

I am a beginner but have learned a lot about search engine optimization (SEO). We have worked on Google AdWord campaigns, Yahoo! Search Marketing, and used Google Analytics. We used a broad search as well as an industry specialized search, which has obviously been more cost effective.

I have recently submitted our company and link to multiple industry directories with higher PageRank than ours. I have used free keyword tools found in AdWords, Analytics, and Search Marketing, respectively, as well as the free tool on wordtracker.

Also, we have recently created static pages to our web site for added content. Hopefully our recent steps (directory submission, upping our bids in PPC programs, and creating content based pages) will work.

Can anyone help on ways to direct more traffic to our site? Help us maximize our ROI? We usa a dynaminc web site but want to raise our PageRank and site visits.
